Hiking with a Lensball
A few years back I was gifted a lensball. I had just had just had my second kid and I was eager to play with it. However after playing with it a few times in my backyard, and dealing with a newborn and 2 year old I tucked it away for another day. I forgot all about it until two years later (a few months ago) while hiking the Apex Trail.
I had never hiked this very popular trail and went as soon as I dropped the kids off at school. I was thrilled to hike this easy front range trail. It was my first hike in a while because of quarantine. The Apex trail did not disappoint! Along the trail there are a lot of other trails you can venture off to, and one of them is the Enchanted Forest trail. As soon as I went off on this path, I stopped and admired the trees towering over me. I knew right away that I needed to come back and take photos, and I am glad I did.
If you have not hiked the Apex Trail, it is worth it. The trail is on the front range and it is nested between I-25 and Golden. It is a reality easy hike and has many trails to branch off on. This trail has everything from rivers, towering trees, aspen, wildlife, it is a nice trail to go on if you want to be deep in the mountains but need to stay near Denver.
Most of the photographs below are from the Apex Trail- Enchanted Forest. However, there are a few nested at the bottom of the Genesee Trail.
Enjoy.
